I made it to the featured artist spot and that’s quite an honor. Drying Blue finished in second for the second month in a row. As long as I keep getting such great support I’m sure it’ll make it to number one eventually! I’ll cross my fingers and keep on campaigning. I’m getting quite a collection of achievement icons so that’s cool.

In other news the band is doing great. We are trying our best to write some new songs and have been playing out a lot. I’ve been told our performances are getting stronger and stronger—from vocals to the tightness of the band itself. We’re hoping to book some shows in July and in the following months as well.

It’s definitely a rollercoaster watching Drying Blue jump around between 1st and 2nd when there is such a short time to go for the finals. I really hop it makes it to the top because the exposure and opportunities are there, I just need to hold on a little longer!

In other news: The FTLOS demo should be done within a week! We just listened to the final mixes of the songs and can’t wait to finally get a professional sounding cut out there! Stay tuned.

That’s right. Drying Blue is 6 hours away from entering the semi-finals. It’s only done it once before and I believe it finished at 7. A whole new round of voting, it’s anyone’s game. I’m making lots of new friends, getting wonderful comments, and hearing some great bands. Hopefully, it can hold #1 right on through. Thanks again for all your votes, comments, and requests. It wouldn’t be there without you.

Also, a week from today my band plays NY. This will only be our second show and we’re all really excited. We’re crossing our fingers that we’ll have our new EP mixed and mastered by Friday. I can’t wait to get the songs up on here (through the FTLOS account) and see what you all think.

I am very secure in our sound and in our messages. I really feel like we are a breath of fresh air in the music scene and, so far, anyone who has heard our stuff seems to feel the same. It’s exciting and scary, but the best feeling in the world!

I just want to give a big thanks to everyone who has helped me achieve my rank. As I write this Drying Blue is in first and has held that spot for at least 48 hours. That’s a big deal. I went through and voted this round (i.e. I didn’t down-vote or pick “same” for everyone.) and I was really surprised at the percentages that Drying Blue captured as far as “By Far” went (Oh, but of course I’m gonna vote for my own song, c’mon now). I’m up against some great musicians. I am every month I push Drying Blue through, but especially this month seems stacked with talent. I’ve done really well on ourstage. I’ve made it to the top 10 once and in the top 100 a few times. I truly hope I can stick it out and make it to number 1 in the finals, but I can’t do it without you. So if you’ve been voting I just want to thank you and let you know I really appreciate your support…and please keep on voting and spreading the word.

Well, first off I’m fufilling the first right now. Second, I have friends, but it’s tough to weed through the good and bad. I usually accept anyone who adds me, but I find that I get spammed by a lot of people in the long run, so I’d rather just be a favorite and not worry about how my fan club looks. In other news…FTLOS (my full band) is doing great. We just finished recording a 5 track EP due out in a week. If you’re interested in purchasing one it costs about $5 and I am willing to mail it to you! We need to get our name out there so every little bit helps. We’ll also most likely end up posting the tracks on her to sell as well.

We have a show in NY in about a week or so, which is super exciting. We’re all heading up Saturday, with some friends in tow to enjoy the city. The show is at Arlene’s Grocery right in SoHo. It’s a great venue for live music and I have some local friends showing up for support which is great as well. We’ll be giving out our EP’s for free there, so if you’re in the area come on down.
