Who is Hotokegi? James Cutright from Northwest Florida.

I am 28 years old - Full-Time Chef, Computer Tech Specialist is one of my side skills and of course Music Composition is my passion. If you've ever wanted to get to know me, listen to my Music. The tracks I've uploaded here are heart-inspired soul-spoken Electronic Compositions. I don't play around when it comes to Music. Music is as serious as staying alive and surviving in this world. Without it, this world cannot function; and I feel I play a small part in the Earths' survival, not to mention the countless people who find my Music relaxing.

Hotokegi: Japanese for Compassionate. I got this name because of my affinity for Japanese names and because I was seriously passionate about my Music. Compassionate Heart is something 'Hotokegi' can stand for; thus I chose to be known as this Artist Name.

I aspire to be a really good Ambient, Instrumental and Electronic Music Artist. I practice every day with new ideas and when I find something that sounds really good, I work with it, and progress it into something more. I hope to give everyone something they can enjoy, and eventualy, something that I can make a living from so that I can keep on making Music, as a full time career instead of my off-time hobby.

Who are my favorite Musicians? Singers? ... Kenny G., Phil COllins, Boney James, Anita Baker, Elton John, PhuturePrimitive, Withcraft (As I Hide), Ape to Angel, Grey Area, Enya ... to name quite a few. Not to mention all the Artists on OurStage who I've chosen to be a fan of. If I am a fan in your OurStage Profile, take that as a compliment; I don't just become a Fan of someone unless I really like their work.

There isn't much more I can say about myself; therefore you should let the Music tell the rest of the Story.

The Defense of OurStage

I just got this EMail from Paramount Contest something or other about a Summertime Song & lyric contest. I was kind of excited about it until I saw the requirements for joining the contest was a $20.00 entry fee.

!!! LAUGH OUT LOUD !!!

So I wrote them back and told them why would I want to pay $20.00 to enter a contest that I know I probably would not win when I can go to OURSTAGE.COM and get it all for free? Exposure, Friends, Fans and even Contests … FOR FREE!!!

It also said in their message they were looking hard to find new talent and wrote up a whole story about that being the reason for their opening the Summertime Song & Lyric Contest. So I laughed again and told them that they can find all the ...

Hey just wanted to say that So Close, So Far is one of the coolest ambient songs. I like the synths a lot. Keeps you in a good mood.
