Who is Surreal Serenity?

At 29 Years old, James lives the simple life. There isn’t anything special or hardcore about his life save for his passion in deep emotional music.

Daniels’ music passion began at the age of 7 in his grandmothers’ basement on her very old grand piano. From there, it transpired into composing on his 1st Computer at the age of 12. Reaching the age of 16-21 He found new software to compose his music with and began writing even greater creations with more depth than his previous methods would allow.

For nearly 7 years, Daniel has been composing and producing heart-felt vibes and melodies with the latest in Software Technology. While He isn’t Lyrically inclined, He does possess a strong talent for expressing stories and feelings through Instruments. With the use of this new found Software and Technology, He is able to create his work and fully master his creations as a Producer. Thus; His role is now Creator, and Producer; clearly a pleasing talent to behold only by a few.

His ears are like the ears of an Angel. He can hear his melodies progress, He can listen to a song and recreate it note for note to near 90% accuracy mostly through trial and error, but mainly relying on his strong aptitude for hearing chords and percussion.

Daniel also never had and never will, the ability to read musical notation. He has said that his feelings towards learning to read musical notation would detract from his ability to use his ears to produce the desired result. Mostly speaking about letting go of the visual aspect to create something unique and beautiful. He can read standard ABCDEFG and understands simple chords, flats and sharps, majors, minors, sus2’s, etc… But the more complicated the chord is when the ears take over.

Lets just say Daniel has extreme Musical Hearing. Above all else; isn’t that what Music is? Hearing? Its’ not about what you can read on a sheet of paper. Its’ about what you ‘hear’ and ‘feel’.

The Inspiration that He encounters mainly come from watching Anime. If any Anime has a deep story line, Daniel will find himself wrapped in the story, and before you know it a Musical Inspiration comes flowing in like a steady stream. It could be considered a bit awkward to develop certain feelings while watching Anime and swimming in its’ story, but for Daniel it is the driving force that compels him to create.

Most notable about his passion is tracks such as ‘Deep Down’, ‘Tempus Fugit (tweaked)’ and a recent collaboration project ‘I Believe; I Belong’. There is also a track in the works called ‘Deep Emotions’ which will be the very 1st track that breaks from his normal style of being an instrumentalist by including deep and emotional lyrics.

Where Daniel goes from here is a mystery. But with the new found power of collaboration, the creations can only get deeper.
