His rap style is reminiscent of the conscious, soulful tone of secular artists Common, or Mos Def as he embraces his Northern roots. But as the son of a pastor, Honor has a profound appreciation for the transforming power of the Gospel message which separates him from his secular counterparts and makes his music so refreshing. In today's market, many Christian Rappers hesitate to centralize their lyrics around controversial, or seemingly divisive content for fear of exclusion from the media.
