Hi-Planes Drifter came together when Brian spotted an ad posted by Josh on craigslist.com. He loved the sound of Josh's vocals and decided to contact him in regards to starting an indie/folk/rock style band. They met in person and jammed in Brian's basement a few times and decided they needed more so Brian contacted his friend Evan who had just gotten out of the metal band known as Shadows of Immortality. Evan previously mentioned starting an indie band. When the three of them got together for the first time they clicked and started making some good music. They have been practicing several times a week in preparation for two shows that were originally supposed to be for Josh's solo act but were able to pull off a kick ass set after only two weeks of practice.
