a winding road through teen years, experimenting with as many different kinds of music as possible. i try to bring something new to the table. it’s not different for differentness’ sake, but i write my music as a form of expression and it just comes out how it comes out. i don’t try to write a ‘hit song’. i used to do so in the past, but i hated everything i came up with working with that mentality. since then, i’ve just let the ideas flow and i’ve really enjoyed working on this album, and i think it shows because i’m not afraid to deviate from traditional rock/pop because i care about what’s “popular” right now. i think we’re all immersed enough in pop culture that if we just try to truly express ourselves through our artistic outlet, then we’ll have something real that people will enjoy on their own level as well. SOUNDS LIKE i consider my music to be experimental/alternative with a rock foundation. my album was released on itunes (as well as several other online music sites) so i’m trying to get the word out. i’m a solo musician (although i’m trying to put a band together) so i preformed all the instruments and vocals for all the tracks. it was hard to narrow down the album down to just 15 songs, bu i finally did it. for a very long time, i’ve just been in my room recording and editing my music, so no one’s really heard it. so, now i’m trying to get my music heard. i have to fight the urge to get sucked up into recording new material for my second album, because i think i should try to market this one first!
