HelenaMaria is comprised of identical twin sisters, Helena and Maria Mehalis, born and raised in New Jersey and now currently in Los Angeles, CA. The girls started out playing piano at the age of four and later picked up the guitar in high school when songwriting came naturally. In 2006, Helena and Maria recorded their first album, “Serene,” consisting of all original material which can be found on iTunes. "Live My Life For Me" depicts the journey that the two girls experienced as they travelled across country to follow their dreams . HelenaMaria have been featured On-Air With Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KIIS FM, and their music has been heard in MTV’s “The Hills” and the film “In My Sleep.” They have been featured as guests on the CW11 Morning News “Spotlight On” series, CBS Philadelphia's "Sunday Morning Kickoff" Show, mtvU's "Meet or Delete: Best Music on Campus” episode, and have also performed for mtvU’s Campus Invasion Tour in Austin, TX. Helena and Maria Mehalis are also SAG actresses and have appeared on various projects in film, commercials, and television shows; including season 3 of Gossip Girl as Blair's twin minions and models on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Rachael Ray Show, and The View. HelenaMaria are also building a repetoire of cover songs by some of their favorite artists, which can be found on iTunes and their YouTube channel (helenamariamusic) which has received nearly 8 million views as it continues to grow. Their acoustic rendition of "Love the Way You Lie" - Eminem feat. Rihanna was performed live and broadcasted on 102.7 KIIS FM and affiliate stations, and their cover of Taylor Swift's "Love Story" made it to #30 on the UK iTunes Pop Chart in 2009. Blending pop, rock, and emotion, HelenaMaria’s unique style is embellished with harmonies that define their sound. Although the girls may be identical in looks and skills on the piano and guitar, the major difference between them is that they are mirror images of each other. (Maria plays guitar left-handed, and Helena plays right-handed). With every record or performance made, HelenaMaria are sure to put their hearts into it.
