Gone to Plaid started when bassist Mike Tuite and drummer Eric Montalvo were searching for a singer and guitarist and stumbled upon their friend Pete Marchese's solo acoustic demo. Immediately a rehearsal session was organized and right off the bat, the music flowed effortlessly. Gone to Plaid started when bassist Mike Tuite and drummer Eric Montalvo were searching for a singer and guitarist and stumbled upon their friend Pete Marchese's solo acoustic demo. Immediately a rehearsal session was organized and right off the bat, the music flowed effortlessly. After playing a few shows into the Fall of 2007 around the NYC area, the band went into hibernation to write more music and find the elusive 4th member. In May of 2008 one of Pete's old friends Rocky Vezzuso was brought into the fold and just like that old songs were new again and new songs came out of nowhere. After a few accelerated teaching practices, Rocky was ready and the band was anxious to record its material. In June of 2008 the band went into the recording studio and laid down its first demo. Baby steps have led to giant leaps and the band is now itching to get back on the road and bring some great music to the masses. This is just the beginning!
