Alternative rock band “Glitch” brings together the talents of three seasoned musicians whose experiences playing together date back to the early 90’s. Featuring hard rock instrumentals with unique, elevated vocals and harmonies, Glitch’s sound is fresh and intense. Melodic guitar riffs, perfectly timed fills and inspiring vocal cues make Glitch the new band you need to hear. Founded in Des Moines in 2010, Glitch draws on the vocal talents of Amanda Miller, the guitar stylings of Scott Taylor and percussions of Josh Miller. Taylor and Josh Miller first met during a try-out for what would become their founding high school grunge band, “Drop.” Since their first jam, Taylor and Miller knew they had a musical connection that could create epic sounds. Taylor and Miller continued to play together with other musicians as “Drop,” in Ankeny, Iowa, and went on to form the metal/punk band “The Nugs” and blues band “Gus’s Dirt Bag” in Iowa City. The two would eventually join forces again to found the melodic rock band, “Glitch.” Amanda Miller and Josh Miller first began playing together as an acoustic duo in 2000. The two joined with other musicians to found the funk/rock band “Slapdaddy” in Iowa City. After leaving Iowa City, Amanda and Josh continued to write and perform as a duo with their band “Fire and Brimstone” in Des Moines. Not satisfied with acoustic melodies, the Miller’s sought out an amazing guitar player who could assist in their desire to bring back the rock. When the Millers and Scott Taylor collided, “Glitch” was born.
