i’ve played several types of music at different periods in my life… classical piano, jazz, r&b. i grew interested in new age and world music while learning to blow a didjiridoo, and really enjoy the openness of the form and the nearly endless sound pallet. for me, music is a language and the various styles and genres are its’ dialects. it’s the only truly universal language, and no matter the dialect, we all seem to understand what is being said. music has been referred to as " the divine disease", one that i caught studying classical piano as a child. there have been r&b bands, jazz trio’s and quartets, solo gigs, and a career as a music therapist working with autistic kids, and even a stint as a radio dj on a college radio show. one language, many dialects.
