"There is something about getting together with a group of musicians and playing something in perfect harmony," says Fusse frontman Andrés Salomón. "For Fusse, it’s this feeling that gets us making music." Formed in San Diego in July 2006, Andrés (Guitar/Vocals) and long time best friend, Javier (Bass/Backup Vocals), decided that it was time to turn one-night-stand melodies into meaningful and heartfelt musical works. While playing acoustic sets in local coffee shops, the duo was exposed to the reality of the euphoria of performance and wanted to indulge even more.Andrés and Javier soon found Ryan (Drums) after a short search for a drummer. Ryan’s gospel roots added a kick of energy to the mellow acoustic melodies of the past and with that, the band found a new sound that continued to evolve as time passed. Soon the opportunity to showcase their music arrived. The band performed around San Diego, including the YMCA and local festivals. After many months revising their songs and the eventual loss of their "performance virginity," something was still missing. "It’s like the music was coming together, but we were still missing a certain piece that was supposed to glue what we had together," commented Javier. "We had the musical foundation; all we needed was to find our own new sound."The missing link arrived at their show a couple months later. Hector (Lead Guitar/Backup Vocals) was soon adopted from the audience as one of Fusse’s own. With the band together, offers came from many community venues to showcase the band with constant return invitations.During this time, the band worked hard in the studio with Matt Carroll (Producer) on various demos, which have been released over the course of the past few months. With the release of many new songs, heads turned around San Diego to hear the new sound, bringing hundreds of new fans and listeners to their shows, as well as their Myspace. Since the August release of their demo, the band still continues to pursue their passion with all their energy and hard work. Their hunger to please their fans keeps the band busy and looking for more people to catch on to their sound.Fusse has become alive and come into their own, establishing their niche in San Diego. “We want to give the fans our all,” says Fusse. “With us, you can expect the unexpected… so join us for the ride.”
