Born out of sheer bordom and an intense love for music, Flies was formed by Bassist Alex Salgado & Guitarist Austin Adams. Early influences included The Mars Volta, Weezer, Bloc Party, The Blood Brothers, & later grew to include bands such as Band of horses, Foals, Does it offend you yeah?, & The yeah yeah yeahs. It took a full year for the band to solidify their current line-up of Alex Salgado, Austin Adams, Eddy Brauer, Mark Smith, Ray Warner, & Ryan Felton. Flies are currently recording in their home studio (the mustache factory) and performing whenever possible. Their music is an ecclectic mash up of bluesy,dance infused, indie pop rock with a dash of experimentation thrown in for good measure. If creative, new music is what you crave. . . .
