The roots of FLESHSUIT run nearly 20 years deep, as Ryan, Scott and Breck all shared the same stage with various bands as far back as the early 90’s, cutting their teeth and honing their skills on the same stages in the underground Indianapolis scene, but never in the same bands. Breck and Ryan first played together in the band BRUISED, a power groove band that toured the Midwest in the late 90’s. Upon the bands split in 2002, Breck and Ryan moved to Phoenix for a year to do the NOOSEBOMB project. Ryan returned to Indy in early 2003 and was told by a friend “I HAVE THE PERFECT BAND FOR YOU!!!”. Less than 48 hours later, Ryan auditioned for the band that would later become known as the first incarnation of FLESHSUIT, which consisted of Dan Mitscher and Mark Luther on guitar, Vincent Swango on bass and Jeff Byrd on drums. This version of FLESHSUIT played several times a month steadily for the next 3 years, releasing one full length CD

on their own and gaining a wide audience of FLESHSUIT Family Members…. however, a lineup change was in order… Dan had previously been in a band with Kevin McBride in 1990-1992. Writing originals and experimenting with recording, ironically, they never found the right vocalist.

Another opportunity arose for Kevin in the form of Direwolf in 1992, which lasted until Dan called Kevin in 2006. Dave Fee was choice of bass player. Dan and Dave had been in a couple bands, Blackwall, and Conflict in the years of 1993-1996. At this point they thought the lineup was complete However, after a year of polishing the songs and playing a steady schedule of several shows a month, long time friend Scott Ballenger was added in as the second guitar player. Scott played in Kriteria, and Burning Season, which Burning Season and Fleshsuit did a few shows together.

Bassist Dave chose to split from the band under extremely friendly terms due simply to a difference in musical direction, and remains close with the band. Ryan put in the call to Breck, and that brings us to the current line up, Ryan Noblitt on vocals and guitar, Dan Mitscher on guitar and guitar synth, Scott Ballenger on guitar, Breck Hardcastle on Bass, and Kevin McBride on drums and samples. The band has just released it’s current ep, titled “The Nudge Sessions Vol.1” and is in pre-production for the next full length CD, tentatively scheduled for early 2009, and continues to play shows around the Midwest and across the country.
