Well one day while we were jammin at levi's and pondering upon a name, levi reached into his pocket to grab a guitar pick and he pulled out a squished quarter that he found. That quarter sat in the jam space for months on end and one day kyle looked at it and said why do you have a piece of Flat Silver sitting on the table and we thought hell, why not call the band flat silver i guess it just stuck ever since that day!
