A nerdy computer programmer who ends up managing, in his own words “a rather unstable rock band” called FesterVision.Matt Finkle used to have a nice stable job as a computer programmer, building the ultimate “efficiency analysis” tool. Unfortunately, his boss used it to cut staffing costs. And since Matt had just finished the project, his name was at the top of the list. Fired from his job, with a wife and kid to support, Matt is thrust into an early mid-life crisis, and stumbles onto a new career path - one that leads him to FesterVision.Fester has been on the cusp of making it in rock-and-roll for years, but his choices have been near tragic. In order to stay true to his vision of having his own band, he has often turned down far more lucrative offers to play with other highly successful rock groups. Although he currently has a record deal with Ettin Mills, a leading independent music label, he’s against the ropes once again. His band just imploded, so now he has to find new musicians to work with. And on top of that, the label has demanded that he deliver a good album in three months, or else the contract is cancelled.One of these “new” musicians, Foxy Faux, is actually an old friend/nemesis who has returned from touring in the Far East. Foxy is a lead-guitar wizard who bailed on Fester right in the midst of a recording session five years ago to go on tour with an all-girl Japanese act. Now driven to balance out his karma, Foxy has returned to help Fester rebuild his band. Although Fester is not thrilled with accepting the traitor’s help, Foxy does have a knack for “magically” making things happen.
