Five years ago best friends Kevin McCord and Ben Shumaker started a band. Originally it was just for fun and thus it was deemed “The Project”. Years later Ben Shumaker would meet future bassist, Hudson Eakin at a rock camp held at the Portland Conservatory of Music in Maine. Finally the band had discovered it’s collective parts and “Faster! Faster!” was truly born.
With Kevin and Ben providing a solid framework for the band’s music and a grounding for Hudson’s ridiculous ideas “Faster! Faster!” has evolved from a no-good garageband, into a professional three-piece musical masterpiece. From dragging at 12th place in the 2006 Reindeer Rock-off (A Talent Search for The Best Young Rock Band in Maine) to scoring 1st Place Overall just one year later at the 2007 Reindeer Rock-off, “Faster! Faster!” is determined to make it big, or die trying.
A larger than life stage presence featuring an out-of-control bassist and pianist throwing his bass and body around with gilded precision, a suave guitarist that rocks the mic like his name was King Kong, and arguably one of Maine’s most technical drummers keeping the whole thing from bursting off stage; creating an in-the-pocket rhythm section with bombastic vocals and leads provided by all members of “Faster! Faster!”
