Classically trained pianist-turned-rocker Eva Stokes began her music career at age 14 in Denver, Colorado. While strongly influenced by female artists popular at the time, Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, and many others, she was also part of a young progressive rock movement who listened to Gentle Giant, UK, King Crimson, Yes, and ELO. At 18 Eva moved to London where she caught the attention of legendary poet/songwriter Pete Brown and signed with his independent label. She was also part of the group of artists who called Commercial Road Studios home: Marden Hill, Jo Kerr, The Method, Malcolm Bruce, etc.
She moved to Los Angeles in 1992 and now lives in the desert near Joshua Tree. She has written over 1000 songs and is currently recording with Phil Jones.
