Hey world. Welcome to my myspace. My name is Evan Sherman. I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit in Michigan, but moved to Boston after High School to study guitar at Berklee College of Music. I love the city and all the friends I have made here. I am currently in a Boston based acoustic rock band called PolySky featuring the lovely Lauren Bruno on main Vox. In that band I play electric guitar, but after our acoustic player left, I have been filling in for him. I am also in an awesome classic rock, jam band trio called Bloomill. This band is based in the suburbs of detroit. In that band I play Drums about 50% of the time, Guitar about 30% and Bass about 20%. That band has allowed me to get much better at my non primary instruments. Bloomill features C.J. Opperthauser, Stephen Sherbrook, and myself. On top of these two bands (which can be heard in the myspace music player), I write and play my own pop rock tunes (which can also be heard in the myspace player). I like writing these tunes because they are fun and relatively easy to record. I generally play all the instruments and sing on these recordings; Electric/Acoustic guitar, Bass, Drums (usually programmed), keys/synths, in one case harmonica, and Vox (main and harmony). I am currently looking to start up a Pop Rock Jam Band. My goal with this is to make improv based music a bit more appealing to my generation.
