Playing in Josh's basement (People have played so hard down there that the only light that works anymore is the one right over his drumset)

Euphemism (from Sterling Heights, Michigan) has three members:
Josh-Drums
Allen-Bass
Maggie-Guitar/viola/vocals/lyrics
As a band, we'd played together maybe twice before we decided to do our first battle of the bands. We had one original song and a riff going for us. - "Sweet Candlelight" Maggie had written the guitar part and vocals for last summer, so Al and Josh made a song out of it. The guitar part for "Scattered Moments" was written by Al, and the lyircs and bridge were written by Maggie.
. . . Josh just hits stuff . . .

Fortunately, we listen to similar music and tend to read each other's minds when it comes to writing stuff. Some of euphemism's favorite bands include Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Bob Marley, Jack Johnson, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Days of the New, Eric Clapton, BB king, Lynard Skynard, Grand Funk Railroad, Doobie brthers, etc.
As much as we love these bands, exactly how we're influenced by them in our music we can't specifically identify. We're what we'd like to think of as . . .unique.

Sweet Candlelight is an awesome song! It's one of those songs that has timeless feel. It's also well composed. Rock on!
