My name is Eric Witmer; I’m now nineteen years old. I started playing guitar when I was 15 years old at my school Purchase Line in Indiana County. I was always searching for something deeper in music other than glamor. So I just began exploring back to some of Bob Dylan’s work that I always listened too. It was honest, simple, and spoke out against all that was unjust. I also began listening to more grunge music, which I felt related too in their powerful messages and unrest. Since then I have been working on some of my own music where I try to combine aspects of grunge and folk into my own language that tells of my own personal experiences living and working in a poverty stricken area, seeing suffering that is not healed, and hard work that is not appreciated. My sound is as though it was made up by John Lennon and Bob Dylan in 1992 Seattle Washington. Well, that’s what I try for at least.
