She was raised by a single mother who always pushed her to do her best at whatever she decided to embark on. Being from such a culturally rich place, Elon was surrounding by music, so it was only natural to become a vessel for musical enlightenment. Also, Elon took on roles of leadership by serving as the Drum Major and Student Conductor for many years while in school. After high school graduation, Elon believed she needed more out of life in order to be able to create for a living, so she accepted a scholarship to Agnes Scott College. Although Elon began learning in-depth musical theories, and participating in a program that would otherwise take her down the path of becoming a professional horn player or symphony director, her attention was directed towards music production. With Atlanta, Georgia being known as the music capital of the world, she knew she had a lot of work to do in order to keep up with the ever-changing industry. So, instead of “getting on the band-wagon,” Elon started experimenting with different styles of music in order to create her signature sound. She used her knowledge of music theory and influences from other cultures to dig deeper than most producers were doing at the time. Elon always believed that “true” music came from a level of consciousness too buried to extract through basic explanations or emotional out-pour. She knew it had to be channeled during a moment of passion.
