Elliott was recruited as vocalist in a CD under production by Randy Hall, who co-arranged the gold Miles Davis album, The Man With the Horn. Randy is much younger than the other brilliant Miles alumni like Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancock and you will be hearing more about him in the near future. The fifth track is in progress. As an Environmental Song, one of the tracks, “Our World” merges the electric car and music endeavors. Use the videos link at http://potentialdifference.com to see a 10 second tire screeching video of the 5 passenger luxury all-electric car and a music video of “Our World.” The video was screened at Harvard University on May 30, 2009 as an introduction to Al Gore’s speech, receiving rave response from Al Gore and the audience, later the staff at Al Gore’s Nashville office.
We have not released the other completed tracks because we believe that that their arrangements and sound break new ground. We do not want to inspire imitation before we present this new music to a large audience. They are an R&B track, a Caribbean smooth jazz track (Elliott’s father was from Barbados) and R&B/jazz track. The Our World environmental song is the only single release that we are willing to offer before we have the opportunity for a wide audience.
Elliott Small is a Harvard College graduate in Biochemical Sciences, owner of an electric car company which has created one of America’s leading all-electric car prototypes, and an elected Obama delegate at the Democratic National Convention.
Elliott has been heard on the radio and on stage as a vocalist and has performed electric car display at Microsoft for the governor of Washington State and others.
Elliott has performed at venues in Washington, DC before moving to Las Vegas in 2007 and has had cover songs played on the radio there numerous times. Elliott was selected to perform in the WPFW Radio Spring Jazz Showcase Concert Series, Friday, June 15, 2007, Lubber Run Amphitheater. The station manager was elated by the performance and thought that it made his night, and the audience was quite delighted. One comment was, “you were amazing!”
