Cecilia Villar Eljuri, singer-songwriter and guitarist, was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and raised in the cultural melting-pot of New York City.

Cecilia was recently inducted into the Gibson guitar family and named by the Consulate General of New York as a music ambassador for Ecuador. Billboard magazine says, Ejuri has “… a sound that electrifies Latin styles…This is rock/dance music at its best.” Steeped in Latin rhythms and lush with groove orientated arrangements, En Paz is her most passionate album to date! The world is a mix of cultures, attitudes, and perspectives and Eljuri’s music is a reflection of that – rumba, flamenco, rock, funk, Ecuadorian pasillo, reggae, Cuban son – strong tribal rhythms blended to support serious lyrical content.
