Originally from Vermont Eleah, 21, is a small town girl with big town dreams. When Eleah was younger, she wanted to be a doctor, but her hearts true desire has, and always will be, music. What is a girl to do when she has two loves; one that caters to her intellect, practicality, and sense of self achievement, and one that feeds her passions, emotions, and self appreciation. For Eleah choosing is not an option. Eleah began writing poetry and songs at age twelve. Through techniques acquired from classical piano and flute training, Eleah began composing and big band arranging. In-between her sophomore and junior year in highschool she attended the Interlochen Arts Academy where she first realized her potential as a musical composer. In Vermont, she graduated as the senior class president from Burr and Burton Academy and was at the top of her class. Eleah also studied ballet and jazz dance, further expressing herself through sound. Eleah is a recent member of the hip hop dance team at Columbia University where she is a pre-medical student with a double major in Cellular Neuroscience and Music composition. Though only a mere 5' 2", her powerful and soulful voice can only bring to your mind, how? Tales of love, life, happiness, and hardship, are carried a wave of melodies that send chills up your spine. With professional influences like Tracy Chapmen, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Ross, Bob Dylan and Alicia Keys, Eleahs music is best described as Contemporary with a Pop Jazz overtone. The kind of music that will compel you to sit back relax, listen, think, feel and enjoy all at the same time. Sounds like a lot to do at once? Smart, beautiful, and talented Eleah has accepted nothing less than her best. This lifetime goal may seem impossible to some, but for Eleah impossible things are happening everyday.
