The band recently dropped their debut EP entitled "Gavroche". The EP was recorded and produced at Unison Studios in Winnipeg, Manitoba with Jack Shapira (Quinzy, The Nods, Inward Eye). Funding for the project was provided by Black XS, a fragrance company, after Effect and Cause won a nation-wide online "Battle of the Bands" contest sponsored by Paco Rabanne. Keep an ear open for the disc on your local college radio station.
Members include Darren Hebner and Lewis Parker on guitars, Cody Iwasiuk on drums, with Katlin Mathison taking up the bass and vocal duties. They've played in various venues across Western Manitoba, winning contests and jamming at local bars and music festivals. Highlights for the band include playing at X-fest, Countryfest, winning a Battle of the bands contest at Rockin' the Fields of Minnedosa, playing infront of thousands at the Forks in Winnipeg on Canada Day, and playing a showcase at the Western Canadian Music Awards.
