With no specific location to call their home, eclectic jive are an international, wandering band. comprised of a colombian/dutch drummer, a persian guitarist and two germans the group calls upon contemporary influences like fugazi, queens of the stone age, tom waits, mars volta or radiohead to forge original music that does not rely on any single image. the focus has been on creating an everchanging mix tape of songs rather than a cohesive yet predictable structure. founded in enschede/netherlands in fall 2007 by georg bungard and inca césar, ejive have recorded their first EP in march to be released independently. a video for the song “look at her, man” was shot and directed by irakli ergemlidze in mannheim/germany in late march. the band has relied upon a vast collective of friends to help organize all its output so far. a touring schedule is in the works that would put ejive on the road for dates starting in june.
