The story of Driving with Elbows is unlike many others. It all started in a English class at Parkland High School. It was just another normal day in class when suddenly the teacher assigned a project to make a soundtrack for a play. Founding members Dan Christman and Brandon Long decided quickly that they should go above and beyond expectations and make a soundtrack like none before. The story of Driving with Elbows is unlike many others. It all started in a English class at Parkland High School. It was just another normal day in class when suddenly the teacher assigned a project to make a soundtrack for a play. Founding members Dan Christman and Brandon Long decided quickly that they should go above and beyond expectations and make a soundtrack like none before. After 6 hours of jamming and creating, they created what would turn out to be a soundtrack that would receive a 100%. More importantly, what came out of those 6 hours was the formation of Driving with Elbows. The band's original name was Ample Fire but with the addition of Alex Gardner and Dan Fisher, they changed their name to Driving with Elbows.
