Ivan the Great Bell Tower. Kremlin, Moscow, Russia

I am a student at the University of Georgia, pursuing a major in classical saxophone performance and a minor in Russian language. Unfortunately, I have a terrible singing voice, but I do love to write songs when my muse awakens for a tenuous moment. I am greatly influenced by Russian and German romantic composers, by Ralph Vaughn Williams, Beethoven, and Charles Ives. On the more current side of things, the music and vivid imagery of Sam Beam inspire me like no other, as well as the passion of Damien Rice and the smooth style of Amos Lee. Aside from classical performance, I am also the saxophonist for Zachary Burke and I arrange vocal harmonies for the same, as well as an occassional piano or organ addition. Please check out his OurStage page to hear my work, namely on “Whose Turn is it Today?” and “Shoestring Blues.”
