Butch McCarthy and Dori Legge met in May of 2009 - well, actually they became friends on Facebook. After realizing they had many musical interests in common, they began sharing original lyrics via email and trying their hand at a little songwriting collaboration. Eventually they met in real life and soon after, began performing out together along with Chris Richards, forming the McCarthy, Richards & Legge Acoustic Trio. The trio has been working non stop since Sept. 2009. As the songwriting flourished, B&D decided to get into the studio and recorded their first album at SeaSound Studios in Plymouth MA, with producer and engineer Mark Bryant, who also welcomed them to his label, Plimro Records. Also on the record are Chris Richards, JB Borges, Steve Mazza, Donn Legge, Ian Legge, Dan Schwartz and Louis Leeman. The album is a mixed genre of styles...kind of a combination of Elvis C, Joni Mitchell and KD Lang, with a little Nick Lowe thrown in. The CD, "Damaged Goods" will be released mid-March, 2010.
