A sought out worship leader who loves God and strives to dwell in His presence daily. Donnis sang with several local artist/groups such as Isaac Mullins and Divine Promise, as well as the Atlanta Chapter of Gospel Music workshop just to name a few. Donnis also sung and traveled with Rev. Gerald Thompson, and for six years she traveled with the Grammy nominee Dottie Peoples. In September of 2006, God blessed this prophetic Psalmist to record her own CD entitled, “Atmosphere”. This project has opened doors for her to perform for The Cascade Music Festival, featuring Deitrick Haddon and The Union City Fall Festival featuring Rev. John P. Kee. She was honored as the only gospel artist in the Showcase of the South which featured artists such as J.P. Morton, Tango Red, and O’so Krispie from the group TLC. From Church Anniversaries to Women Conferences Donnis lifts up the name of Jesus and ushers in the presence of God with the essence of her angelic voice. Donnis Calhoun is no stranger to the stage; she spent most of her adolescent years behind the stage at the neighborhood Art Center and other local theaters in the Atlanta area. As her mother lived out her dreams of acting Donnis acquired an appreciation for the life of Performing Arts and performed in high school plays as well as college productions. She has performed in several productions with the J.Wiz Performers, of Salem Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia such as “Amen Corner”, “Almost to Late”, “and Mansion in the Sky”.
