D.O.C. Vs 8th a Key Man has been in the music field for over ten years. His government name is Paris McPeters. Paris aka 8th a Key has always had an artistic urge burning inside since he was just a boy. 8thee grew up in the ghettos of St. Louis and was exposed to the harsh reality of the streets at an early age so he grew up quick. In his words “It was eitha get hard or get scarred.” In December 2003 Paris visited the St. Louis Waynes Rights Building and started his own sole proprietorship, Hillside Entertainment. The name Hillside Entertainment was inspired by his big homeys who hustled on the “Hill,” a baby projects in the city of Saint Charles. Originally Terrence Wilcock a.k.a. DJ T-Money, Paris’s second cousin, was to be the co-owner of HIllside Entertainment but they couldn’t seem to come up with the funds to incorporate the Entertainment company. Over the years of living the street life Paris began producing music and selling beats to his partnas and associates of the streets. Vs began throwing parties at different venues and making a name for himself and his entertainment company. It wasn’t until 2007 that Paris made D.O.C. Vs 8th a Key his official artist name. The D.O.C. stands for Department of Corrections. He came up with this because he was always in and out of prison and his D.O.C. number was always art of his name while in prison. D.O.C. has worked with local artists, producers, and entertainers such as Chuck Town, DJ Maestro, [Hakeem tha Dream of Pie Mo],[Charlie Hustle of Team Hustle], [Kenny Cheng of Blackenese Productions],[Gator Macc, Verse of Drama City], [D-Star of Unimind Records], [Sun Dunna owner of Hustlas Union], [Blo of Comp Town], and more.
