“D-LIFE” ARTIST/ R&B SONGWRITER BIRTH NAME: DAMEYAN JERMAINE JACKSON BIRTH PLACE: BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA GENRES: GANGSTA RAP, OLD SCHOOL, DOWN SOUTH RAP, R&B HIP HOP D-LIFE was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Ellen & Jerome Jackson. He was raised on the outskirts of the city in a small town called Bessemer where he got his first taste in music at the age of 13. He and a few friends formed a group called the “Field Boys” at the time it wasn’t taken very serious, until the group grew very popular in the city with such hits as “Ohh Lord” and “All My Life” from that point in his life he decided to put music first. As the years passed he evolved as a song writer and as an artist but as he evolved the group that he had helped to create started to diminish because of personal differences. At the age of 22 D-LIFE decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue his dream of becoming an icon in the music industry. Things however didn’t go quite the way he would have expected so he had to put his dreams on hold and get a job to help support his family. In 2004 he decided to give music another chance and hooked up with a local label out of Marietta, Ga. called “Tracks 4 Dayz”. Where he collaborated with a lot of artist perfecting his flow with different styles of music. After working with “Tracks 4 Dayz” under Joe Smith (producer) for a year D-Life decided to go solo. In 2007 he started his on group with the help of friend Mac CED (Cedrick Brooks) to form A.D.B Records. “A Different Breed” has become his life and he has been working with his own artist and mastering his craft as song writer and engineer. Since that time he has been putting out mix tapes and is also finishing up on his third LP self titled” D-Life Am Liven”. He has been doing shows all throughout the Southeast to build his fan base and also to let the world know who D-Life is. But even with all the talent he has yet to be able to obtain that record deal that matches his creativity and love for music. So until that time comes he remains that unsigned hype waiting in the shadows until his time to shine. Keith Thompson “All Music Guide”
