DK aka Wayne Watts

DK aka Wayne Watts is a national recording hip hop artist on the independent label, Evergreen Music (Associate NACA Member).

DK aka Wayne Watts honed his MC skills in his native city of Baltimore, MD and at the age of 16 astonished & entertained music executives and artists while interning for the 2002 Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Awards and Conference in South Beach Miami, Florida. DK aka Wayne Watts released his debut full-length CD, “That’s My Boy”, prior to attending the 2003 Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Awards andConference.

Before graduating from college in 2007, DK aka Wayne Watts performed events with Slum Village, The Clipse, Cee-Lo, Raheem DeVaughn, Ty Tribbett, Fertile Ground & All American Rejects, appeared as a panelist/performer at hip hop symposiums, and released his sophomore cd, “Tha Firelane Project”.

In 2008, DK aka Wayne Watts showcased at the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Mid-Atlantic Festival, sharing the stage with such acts as Kelly Mac Farland, Fooling April, and Buddy Wakefield, completed a Violence Prevention Music Video (YouTube, MySpace, PSA’s, Free Ring Tones and Free Downloads), produced by Academy Award winning producer, Susan Hadary and directed by Emmy Award winning director & cinematographer, John Anglim and began his first NACA tour.

DK aka Wayne Watts recently added members of Baltimore’s famed “RYZE Band” including Jimmie “Hitman” Smith (Drums), Gary Kelly (Guitars) and Tim “Thunder Fingers” Cobb (Bass) to complete his live performance set.

The winter/spring of 2009 finds DK aka Wayne Watts on a regional & national tour of festivals, colleges and clubs to promote his projects.
