I've been DJing for 8 years, since I was 14. I am 22 and finishing my degree in classical composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston Ma. I got into DJing because I grew up so close to Trenton NJ on the Pennsylvania bank of the Delaware River. My father remarried a woman with a son who lived in Trenton with his father. My new step brother was immersed in hip-hop culture and he divised a plan for us to buy a pair of turntables. The rest is history. I learned to mix very quickly and I started DJing weddings by myself in high school for money. Since then, I've rocked parties by remixing every song that I play back to back and I've had the honor of spinning for DJ Grandmaster Flash at the Berklee Perfomance Center in Boston. My style is a combination of hip-hop ruggedness and european style extended mixing. I think it's cool to use computers and programs if you have the money for it, but if you can't do what the computer does using just turntables, then I think you're a chump. I don't use programs. All my mixes are done by hand using record players in real time in one take. One of my favorite things to do while spinning house parties is by stunning the party goers by remixing albums given to me by other people during the party .
