By the time Diddi Bop was 7 his brothers were both big time drug-dealers, and well respected throughout the city. His mother began to use drugs, which gave him a motivation to make it at an early age.In 2001 Diddi's other brother Boo was shot 2 times in the back, and was paralyzed from the waist down. His other Reem became very unstable after the incident when he was incarcerated.Reem became more hungry than ever when he came home. Unfortunately he bounced in and out of prison, and today is serving a 10 year sentence in a Federal Penitentiary for drug trafficking and guns. Most of the negative activity in Diddi Bop's life is reflected in his music. Growing up in that type of environment, didn't help when Rochester was also labeled as the "Murder Capital" of New York State. Despite being raised in those grimy conditions, Diddi Bop tried to remain positive while discovering he was very talented on the football field, and the basketball court. Diddi Got accepted to a suburban high-school to play Basketball, and get a better education. And one day, August 7, 2006, he slipped up, and got busted in a drug-house flooded with crack cocaine, and illegal guns.Facing up to 7 years in prison, and only 16 years old, Diddi Bop began to straighten up, when he got lucky and copped out to probation. However Diddi lost several of close friends and family along the way, including his best friend, Shamar Patterson who was only 16 when was killed in a drive-by shooting on Rochester's westside.This tragic experience would change Diddi's life forever .Times began to reform for Diddi Bop in the beginning of his senior year when his mother became clean and got herself together. He then began to get serious with his basketball, school, and music. Diddi graduated in 2008, which was unusual for someone from his family, and neighborhood. He recieved a scholarship to play basketball at Alfred State College. After grinding for years with his music, Diddi Bop began to receive several MySpace messages, and phone calls from different record labels, and A&R's. He also began to work with DJ Lazy K among others.Diddi Bop is known for his lyrical ability and gift to reach out to people. He is also very versatile, he can write a song about anything that will appeal to any type of audience which explains why his fan base is so diverse .Today Diddi Bop is 18 years old, and still eager to succeed. He has dreams of making it big in the industry, and won't stop working until he makes it happen.
