What’s up, everyone? We hope all has been well with everyone as it’s been a little while since our last blog. A LOT of things have been happening for us, in all walks of life, so we’re gonna take this time to catch everyone up.
First and foremost, as you all knew, Junior’s wife was pregnant. The key word there is was! On Tuesday, September 30th, at 12:59PM, our family expanded! We’d like to welcome Paige Barbara Carson into the world and into our D.U.I. family! She’s a beautiful baby girl and both mommy and baby are doing just fine! They’ll be coming home today and we’re sure Junior needs a day off. We also want to commend the new father, as he came out to play at Hundred Acre Manor with us last night. That’s a f@$ing soldier right there (where’d that statement come from? Lol) So from all of us in this band and crew, we wish Junior and his new family nothing but the best.
Back onto band matters, we were supposed to be laying low for the birth of Junior’s daughter, but it’s in our blood to work. So we’ve still been busy! We’ve been hosting a Battle of the Bands at Kopec’s which has been going very well. We’ve met some new, talented bands throughout doing this and are very happy to have made some new friends (and enemies!) The finals are coming up this Sat and we can’t wait to see who will take home the prizes! It’ll be very fun to watch! We want to wish both finalists the best of luck and hope you all come out shredding!
We’ve also been booking some SERIOUS shows! We just played Hundred Acre Manor last night and would like to thank Mike and all of the staff there for having us out and treating us so well! You guys are all pro’s at what you do, we’d love to come back and see you all again! A slight sidebar to last night, Junior is very afraid of haunted houses we found. I wish we had a camera, as I’m sure it would’ve made for a great album! I won’t divulge too much, but as I’m typing this, I still have tears in my eyes from laughing! It was a VERY fun night! You know I love you, bro! We’re playing The Fright Farm at Rich Farms tomorrow night, and look to be scared to death again! We’re now booking out of state shows too! We have some shows lined up for Ohio and West Virginia right now and have a few for NY and NJ in the works, which we’ll announce as soon as they’re finalized! We can’t wait to take our mayhem on the road! We’d like to thank our A&R and friend, Mike Admani for making these shows a reality for us! Since having you aboard our team, we’ve been reaching highs at a rapid rate! We won’t stop until we’re at the top, buddy!
We also have some new merch in the works. One of them is a D.U.I. Live DVD! This is footage from our show at Faded Fest on 4/20 at the Matrix. We wanna thank Faded Industries and Thud Films for all of their hard work to make that DVD possible. It’s a really incredible set, with over an hour of songs from us. A lot of them have been released, a lot haven’t. So this is your chance to see what we’re like live without ever having to leave your house, plus hear some of the songs that our fans have come to love at our shows! Some of the songs that are on there include “Hangin” (of course), “Feed Off the Pain”, “Malice”, “Mine to Own”, and “Hypocrite Regime” to name a few. We’ll be announcing an official release date soon and will also be taking pre orders via paypal. Stay tuned for more info on that! We’re also expanding our clothing line! We’ll be introducing some new shirts here very soon, made especially for our female fans! We love to keep the ladies happy and think that they’ll love what we have in store for them! We also want to thank everyone who has checked out our fansite! We want to encourage all of you to swing by, sign the guestbook, and have a look around. You can get there by clicking the link on our page, going to the bottom of the forum list, and clicking on “fansite”. It’s a pain in the ass to do it this way, but we’ve been having some difficulties with a certain website and links. So until we get it straightened out, please bear with us.
I could go on for awhile here with all of the great things that’ve been happening to us, but I’m gonna call it. I think I hit the important ones and we’ll keep you all posted as the good news rolls in. We wanna take this time to thank our friends, fans, and family who put up with our shit. There have been many sacrifices made for this band and don’t think we don’t know that. We know that without a lot of you, our band wouldn’t be possible. If you’re reading this and think that we’re talking about you, we probably are. We won’t list names, as I don’t want to overload my poor computer, but there’s a lot of you. So here’s to you for helping and supporting us in what we do! Thank you so much! And to all of our fans all over the place, we love all of you too! We’ve been getting some very nice compliments lately, and it means the world to us! We strive to make the best music for our fans and to know that they notice and love what we do, makes us love what we do that much more! We have the best fans in the world and are grateful to have every single one of you!
So until next time, take care all of you. We look forward to seeing all of you at a show soon! And we look forward to meeting all of our future fans too! Keep Rockin everyone!
