Though young, lead singer Desiree Boardwine and "her boys" have garnered a great deal of stage time, studio experience and media attention. Past gigs of note include a co-headlining show with singer-songwriter, Amy Kuney (One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, etc.), multiple performances at the Cleveland House of Blues as Live Nation Cleveland High School Rock Off finalists, and a co-headlining slot at the historic Kent Stage with Trans-Siberian Orchestra vocalist, Maxx. In the winter of 2009, an original song and video - "Raise Your Hands" - penned by Desiree & recorded and shot in her father's public high school classroom, propelled the singer-songwriter and her younger brother/writing partner into the national spotlight. The two, along with their father and uncle, were invited to perform on CBS' The Early Show. The "Boardwine Family Band" was subsequently named one of the Top Six "Family Bands" in the nation. Though the competition proved a bit "cheesy", Desiree and company gained valuable experience in front of cameras and a national audience. Currently, Desiree is backed by her brother and a trio of extremely talented studio and stage musicians - Brian Poston, Kyle Tresch and Justin Packwood. The three teens have brought an undeniable edge, drive and technical expertise to Desiree's well-crafted rock/pop melodies, hooks and clever lyrics. Upcoming gigs of note include a performance at Rocketown in Nashville and a main stage appearance at an Ohio festival that draws thousands of people each year. In addition, this February, Desiree appeared on Time Warner Cable's television show, "Random Acts of Music" as a Top-five finalist in their songwriting competition. In March, by popular vote, she was named the contest winner. A professional video (part of the prize package) is currently in the works.
