I have been playing the guitar since I was 14 years old and dabbled a bit with writing since. In the past couple of years I have gotten a little more serious about my writing and have made several friends who have helped me immensely along that road. I will probably never consider myself more than a hobbyist, but music is without a doubt a passion and there is no bigger thrill for me then knowing something I wrote or co-wrote has touched another person.

Hey there

Well I got another new one posted. Not sure this is the final mix but I like it alot. The song is called “Revitalizing Rain”. I wrote it with Gary Denis a friend from Songramp.com. The recording process took place on Kompoz.com. I love that place. Have a listen and let me know what you think.

Derek, love your music. Thanks for adding us. Right now we can't seem to edit our songs. The Save button is grayed out and they can't seem to fix it. That's why some of the songs are untitled. Hope to get it working soon.

Hey Derek, stopped to listen to your new song and I find it amazing how people collaborate, as I don't know how to do that yet. The song is really good, and the recording sounds good, but I would have to agree with Lady Rockers input, Mainly because I have the exact same tendency to put too many words in, that I can cut some and its a better song, I also previously on my work had few undertones, or change up on them, I'm working on changing that with some songs I am currently working on. Hi Derek!!
Revitalizing Rain is a pretty good tune...

if it were me and my song,... I would trim some unneccesary words out here and there so the phrasing is a little smoother...(ie: instead of saying SOME fresh air might do me good....(it sounds kind a squished in there)- eliminate SOME, and just start with the Fresh Air) and I would also either add some lower/deeper undertones in the lyrical melody, or do it in a lower key....

Just a couple of suggestions.... but, hey - it's your tune and it does sound good as it is -- but it could be even better with some tweaking....
