Formed as a recording project in 1998, Deep Rising has evolved into a rock band with a prog edge featuring excellent singing, playing, and song writing that draws from influences as varied as Stone Temple Pilots, Kings X, Alice In Chains, Rush, Jane’s Addiction, Peter Gabriel, Seal, Led Zeppelin.
Deep Rising music is visceral and meaningful, drawing from the best of their influences and creating their own style which has been described as immediately accessible, interesting and deep, and definitely unique.
Hard rockers are drawn by the powerful guitars. Proggers are drawn by the vocal melodies, arrangements, and meaningful lyrics. There is a power in their live shows that is not measured in decibels, but in passion and style.
