The Official SILVAROSE Press Release – September 2009

In May 2009, SILVAROSE released their first single, I Hate You. Receiving rave reviews from listeners across the country, it quickly climbed the charts and ranked the number 7 song on Mike Cameo’s Indie Radio Show, a nationally broadcasted Internet based radio station (http://www.indiestop10.com/TopTenPopAug09.html).

SILVAROSE is currently working on the preproduction for their Spring 2010 self titled full length CD. They are collaborating with producer/engineer, Vic Bruno in the Sky-Hi Entertainment Studios.

September was a busy month for SILVAROSE. In addition to spending endless nights in the studio working on their own material, SILVAROSE drummer Lee Nelson opened the MTV Music Video Awards at Radio City in New York City on September 13, 2009. He performed with legendary rocker Joe Perry from Aerosmith and pop sensation Katy Perry. They kicked off the ceremony playing the Queen classic We Will Rock You! Lee wants to thank everyone for all the calls and comments regarding that show. Your support is priceless!

SILVAROSE is planning a few New York City shows in the next few weeks. The first scheduled show will be October 15, 2009 at The Bowery Electric (http://theboweryelectric.com). Showtime will be 9pm. We will be video taping the show for use in our upcoming videos, so make sure to dress for success and come to show your support.

Funny how stuff in this bizz is always changing. I have been singing in clubs and bars since i was 16 and opening for white lion or Leslie west was the hottest thing a young local band could do .I was full of rebellion and fight determined to make my mark at rock-n-roll history at any cost nothing was gonna stop me from being a rock legend i had the look the talent and the women and drugs i was sex drugs and rock-n-roll .People have sold me dreams promised me millions, i have had mangers rip me off labels lie to me club owners bounce out,and band members steal my songs…I have always been the cocky stuck up prideful lead singer .I was right they were wrong the world vs me.My music my voice my band me me me ….Holy crap now that i am a Christian and live my life for The true Rockstar Jesus Christ i can see how stupid and foolish i was and why i never made it out of clubs and bars.I still want to be a rockstar don’t get me wrong that is my passion to share my music with the world im not gonna start listing all my accomplishments because it really don’t mean jack now ,so i get this e mail from Daniel palmer which was a generic e mail to all the people on ourstage with my name on it that I have placed high every month,that’s cool he’s doing his job and i love ourstage i think it rocks for local bands to compete there talent, but in this world that we live in it comes down to money still the almighty dollar will still take you further then any talent,sucks don’t it but true sad but true.!So the purpose of this blog is We need to vote talent not just our friends band or our band stop the insanity i hear some of the winners and am like no way they suck!!How did that happen now im not gonna lie in march my song kiss another day came in #1 in rock and darn right i had all my boys vote for me but i always vote talent first.Ourstage does a great job at trying to make that happen but it is up to us to do the right thing.I did not vote for my song Fade last month it was at #1 the whole month never changed then i made it to the semi finals and i said let me see i don’t want any of my friends to vote not even me and i came in 9th i was happy. My band is about to sign with lace records a little no name record label that has ,let me see uh one artist on there label but there focus is intense and they believe in us and all of there attention is on us is that a good thing i guess i will find out ..so vote talent not friends thanks and God bless

Well as i sit here and think about the last 15 years of my life as a rock singer in bands since i was 14.I cant help to wonder how the hell i am alive and still writing songs….. As we all know the road can either make you or break you in my case it shattered me!! Broke me not only in half but into little pieces.. Now if you only break in half when you get put back together you pretty much look the same right? Yes ,but if you break into a thousand lil pieces when put back together you look totally different !! And know i am living example of that very thing me personally give all the credit to Jesus Christ! I play in Manhatten every sunday at the gathering in the village.205 7th street goggle it !! and check it out it is a bunch of young men and women that want to change New York upside down go check it out
