About dcookiem
His name is Darron Elec Moore. His nickname is Cookie ( a childhood name given to him from his mother).
Darron "Cookie" Moore was born in Detroit, Mi. As a thirty three year old jazz artist Darron feels that he still has some uncharted grounds in the U.S. as well as the surrounding countries and continents.
Darron plays the bass guitar, keyboardd and the drums. He has been playing the drums since he was 8 years old. The bass for 17 years and the keyboard for 5 years.
In 2000 Darron recorded his first project titled "Nothing Else To Say" I'll Just Play. This project was basically to show some people that he was capable of playing. This project was a symbol for him to never stop doing what he knew was in him, to do, which was playing music.
In 2003 he released his sophomore project titled Bass- is Loaded. This project featured recording artist Lynn Cannon on keys on Bass-is Loaded and Just us two. This was a follow up to his first project, where Darron ventured out a little bit more in the production. He also took more of a risk by producing more songs that might not have been as commercial as what you hear on the elevator, but make no mistake about it, it is still jazz.
In 2005 Darron released At Peace. This project was birthed out of nine years of a marriage coming to an end. So through this difficult time in his life the songs that are on this project help him to get through that part of his life. The "At Peace" project features Darron on keys really showcasing his keyboard skills. Listening to the three projects one can tell that has grown musically.
In the summer of 2005 He was priviledge enough to go to Victor Wooten's Bass camp. This was an awesome experience. He met and developed relationships with so many stars here, Victor, Steve Bailey, Marcus Miller, anthony Weddington, Derico Watson, Rhonda Smith, Adam Nitti, and Chuck Rainey to name a few.
His mission is to capture the spirit, mind, body, and soul of his listeners and uplift, encourage, and bring peace to them through music.
Darron plays Yamaha Bass guitars. He also uses S.I.T strings. He plays through G.K. amps. Look out for his next project.
