Biography

I have been a musician for about 35 years now, seen a lot of stuff, and played one hell of a lot of shows. The one thing I have learned in my quest is don't waste valuable time screwing around with booze and parties. If I had known that 25 years ago I would have been farther today believe it. The Music business: This is a young mans game as the record companies and agents are looking for the next boy band, the next new sound and it does not come with a 41 year old man. For all you young kids out there just starting to build the dream of being a rock star listen to the words of an elder. who has learned the hard way and don't make the same mistakes I have Here is where it all began: I started playing the drums at age 7 and played for over 10 years and was pretty good too but I was drawn to writing songs and you cannot write songs on the drums at least not the conventional way. I talked my Mom into buying me an acoustic guitar at age 12 and picked up a Beatles song book for guitar. I was playing that night and seemed to have a knack for it. I started writing songs and found I was pretty good at that too. After I had a few good tunes under my belt I decided it was time to conquer the world so i started searching for other musicians to build the machine, the band that would take me places. The Bands My first of many bands "Memory Beast". was formed of Jeff Anthony, Myself, and Mike "Big Boy" (his last name escapes me now) We wrote tunes and had some fun doing it but did not get anywhere. My next band was called "DV8" a band comprised of again Jeff Anthony, Myself, Tina Eitel, Ed the drummer, and the rotating position of bass guitar, too many people to mention. That band played in a rat infested hell of a rehearsal spot because that was all we could afford. Beer cans from the band that rehearsed before us were always the first thing we saw when entering our palace. We played several shows and were a pretty good band really but again got nowhere. "Tribal Sun" came next that included Ernie Rakstad, Pat Barela, Ed the drummer, and again my lead singer was Jeff Anthony. Jeff was becoming harder to talk into being in yet another band by now and that was probably more to do with me as I was so far into drinking and using drugs that I rarely showed up to rehearsal or our shows sober. From there we have "Shark Fin Soup" the Tribal Sun line up minus Ed the drummer, replacing him with Dave Goldwater. You can find our some of this bands work at http://euphonyproductions.com/songs/ (I Suppose, and Home) Next was "Wiesbrook Road" and made up of Jeff Anthony, Tom Allen, Dave Goldwater, Tina Eitel, and Myself. We played one show at Synergy which was of all the bands the best venue and we played great too but that band broke up right after that show, the reason I can't really remember now. "Salvation Amy" ah the last of the great original bands and the one that played the most shows and was actually getting somewhere until my control freak mentality killed any glimmer of hope that band had. This band was made up of Myself at lead vocals because Jeff would not have another go with me after the booze and the playing around had soured the taste in his mouth for a rock and roll dream involving me. It also included Chris Morrow at drums, CJ Johnson at bass, and Jason at Guitar. The last in the road is "Wiesbrook Road" the current band. This band find Dave Piersall, ME recovered from years of killing myself with booze and drugs and today have been sober for 3 years. The band members are simply Jeff Anthony and Myself as with today's studios virtual drummers, and the vast range of studio musicians out there any band can put out great material without a full band if they do not intend on touring and we don't. That is because today I am married with a beautiful Wife and 3 wonderful Kids and I realize that being a rock star may be too late. Tom Vail, a great friend for years, and Jeff and I decided what the hell lets start a music production company and get our music out there and maybe help a new young songwriters from making the same mistake we did so long ago so Euphony Productions was born. I truly believe the music really good and should go somewhere and I am also sure many other artists feel that way too. All I can say is take a listen and decide for yourself Dave Piersall www.EuphonyProductions.com
