D'aun, aka. Don Douglass Torres, born into this world 4-5-93 to the parents of Myriam Quinones and Apolinar Torres, in H-Town (Houston,Texas). D'aun was inspired for the love of music by his father and sister Tatiana who were strong advocates of music and the arts. When D'aun was 3 years old he spent his playtime listening to Salina and drove the family crazy with her popular song "Como Una Flor", when he would try to sing it, and would take any opportunity to make sure that everyone would stop and listen to him. When D'aun was 6 years old, he was enrolled in the Chimney Rock summer camp program, the "Seed and Weed" with the city of Houston Parks and Recreation, which started his adventurous journey into the theatre and music arts. With his natural talent, (acting and singing), truly a gift from God, his sister a proud and driving force behind him encouraged D'aun to be a part of The Hits Unicorn Theatre with herself that summer. Both were chosen from a select few and attended the program which led to being cast in certain roles for the summer program. D'aun and his sister were so good at acting, that they received scholarships to continue throughout the years to come. D'aun was part of the Hits casts for 4 years, and Broadway plays conducted by Hits, such as Cats, Joseph and The Multicolor, Grease Lightening, How to Eat Like A Kid, and more which consisted of many parts, lead and solo . Not bad for 6 years old and counting, and thats just mostly acting. Now for the music thang, singing and trying to write songs at 5 and 6 years old got very serious for D'aun that he continued pursuing his dream of one day becoming a star, and showing his talents, by participant in the Wilcrest Baptist church choir, performances at many events, such as, Burnett Bayland Boys Home, George R. Brown Convention Center Christmas Program, school talent shows, malls, parties, or where ever he could showcase his talents. D'aun at the age of 9 1/2, met a music producer name DeRay through his mom, who hook the two of them together, and magically, presto, the shxt hit the fan. Now writing sincere, introspective storytelling, and wholehearted street smarts lyrics, laced over DeRay's idyllic music productions at age 12 and 13, a new young sanga, not a singer, a real sanga, you can here it every time he opens his mouth. Oh yeah! peep this, he also speaks and sang in Spanish because his family is from Colombia South America. D'aun is not a cookie cutter vocalist but a young grown & sexy contempory R. & B. hip/hop, pop vocalist.
