Hey there new friends and listeners! In December, we had a great time watching our songs climb the charts as you listened and voted. Long Time moved to the top spot in Southern, but settled at #20 in the end. Worn Out Tapes also spent time at #1, ending out the month solidly in the top 10 of Alt Rock.

We can’t thank you enough for your listenership and continued support. I know I speak for the whole band when I say that the people we’ve met through OurStage have seemed more real….more into the MUSIC than those we’ve met other places. We really appreciate this, as we only play to serve the music. We’re all music lovers ourselves, you know!

I wanted to let you know that we just uploaded another track, “THE RIVER”, off of our “shoes for fish” CD. It’s important that you understand that the intro on this song is somewhat long…probably 45 seconds before the vocals actually begin. But the mood is setup so perfectly by Dom’s slide guitar work that we honestly couldn’t imagine the song starting any other way.

Imagine you’re on a log raft pushing your way though the Louisiana bayou and you come across an old run-down shack. On the front porch, there is an old fella in what is obviously a hand-made rocker chair. Sitting with his old trusy acoustic guitar in his lap, grinding out some amazing slide guitar as he sings about life on the river. You can hear the crickets as the sun sets…the sloshing of the warm bayou waters against the pylons under the shack…

It’s hard to imagine the things he’s seen float by in this bayou over the years of his life…what is trash to some, is treasure to another.

Hello to all our friends and fans. What else can we say but thanks to everyone that has made this a very special November for us. First,our song “Someday” entered into the Southern channel mid-month and battled all the way to finish in the #1 spot in that genre. We’d also like to add that the top 10 in Southern was just an amazing group of tunes by some very talented artists, our hats off to all of you. We noticed how lots of fans would go and favorite-list most all the top Southern tunes. We believe that speaks to the quality of music found on this site. And second,a BIG BIG thank you to all those that helped us in the November finals to a 10th place finish. Ok so we didn’t win the big $5000 prize, but we made lots of new friends and got to discover some great music, and maybe get noticed ourselves along the way. Also “Someday” recieved almost 4000 plays in just over 2 weeks. Not too shabby for 4 guys who do what they love. What a wild month. We’ll keep on rockin, you keep on clickin. Thanks
