Hi Everyone! Today I just wanted to say how grateful I am for Ourstage. Since I uploaded my first song on here last summer I’ve gotten to play to a packed crowd at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston, play my first SXSW in Austin TX, watch my CDs fly off the shelves at the Ourstage SXSW booth, and I’ve gotten the thrill of seeing my songs voted to the top of the charts, and new fans letting me know how the music moves them.

Directly and indirectly this site is effecting my whole career, because there’s a buzz about Ourstage and it’s helping to create a buzz about my music. In April I played to a sold out crowd at The Mercury Lounge in NYC, I wasn’t doing that last year!

But the best part is that it’s really OUR stage, yours and mine; fans and artists (and many of us who are both). It’s the only site I’ve found where there’s true a sense of the love of music and the passion for discovery of something new, rather than looking to whatever is supposed to be the “next big thing”. At Ourstage we’re finding and becoming the next-big-things, right here.

So thanks to all of you who are listening and voting, thanks to everyone on the stage (artists), everyone holding it up (behind the scene-ers), everyone hammering in nails here and there (programmers), everyone shining the lights on us (EJ’s), and everyone sitting in front of their screens making up this global audience. (YOU!)

We’re back from our first ever SXSW! And we barely catch up on any sleep before we find out that we’re in the Quarter-Finals for The Newport Folk Fest Channel!

We’re so grateful and excited! Thank you all so much! There’s only ‘til midnight tonight to crack into the top 10 and we’re close!! So any judging that you can do for us would be hugely appreciated.

If we make it to the top I’ll write you all a song, or plaster the internet with how cool you are, or bake you cookies, or something! :)
