THIS IS THE PROFILE FOR “ROCKO’S NERVOUS BREAKDOWN”!!! I am Dan Whatley AKA “Rocko” from the band “Sockpuppet Sickos”. I hail from the windy city, Chicago. This is a little something I started doing on the side mostly for fun and to kill down time from the band, but I figure..well maybe there might be something to it after all….Technically, I started this project in 1999 during a break from another band I had been in. Throughout the years since then, Rocko’s Nervous Breakdown has survived in various incarnations until I finally settled on the current form. Influences are way too many and too diverse to mention them all but some of them are: Skinny Puppy, Apoptygma Berzerk, Blaqk Audio, Neuroticfish, Stabbing Westward, Grendel, VNV Nation, Placebo, Ministry, NIN….etc…and THAT’S just a few of the immediate influences of the same genre as me.
