Dan Manjovi is a New York City favorite, continually expanding his growing fan base in New York and beyond. With the 2008 release of Manjovi's second CD, Woke Up This Morning, more and more fans are tuning in to Manjovi's trademark sound: Tasty, sophisticated pop/rock hooks, blues and jazz piano-based arrangements, and powerfully flexible vocals. His sound has been described as a mix of Elton John, John Mayer, and The Beatles. Dan and his band regularly appear to packed houses at New York's major music rooms including Canal Room, The Cutting Room and The Bitter End among others. Manjovi also regularly performs intimate solo shows at the Lower East Side's famed Sidewalk Café. Dan was a featured artist at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival/ASCAP Music Lounge, where he and his band appeared with John Mayer, Nellie McKay, Elvis Costello among others. He has also backed singers Grace Hightower De Niro and Donna Summer in memorable shows at The Café Carlyle and The Beacon Theater. In 2008 Dan's CD release show for "Woke Up This Morning" was standing-room only at the Bitter End, and this August he will perform once again in the Bryant Park Piano in the Park Concert series. "Woke Up this Morning" is currently in rotation on numerous radio stations, and the single "Give Em What You Got (Takin' It Back) is a six time winner on QNationFM's New Music Playoff poll Manjovi also has numerous acting credits, and appeared in the 2006 New York premier of The End, a new musical by George Furth (Company, Merrily We Roll Along) and Doug Katsaros (Alter Boyz, Rocky Horror).
