Your loyal artist relations guy @ OurStage.com
Welcome! I'm here to help you get the most out of your OurStage experience. I joined the OurStage team because as an artist myself, I believe OurStage can be a great resource for career development and help the independent artist increase exposure and gain new fans.
Get in touch with me if you're confused by anything on our site. First, please check the FAQ to see if your question has already been answered.
Also, feel free to tell me what features you want to see on OurStage. If it's happening, we'll make it happen. I want to work with you to achieve your goals and work with you to make your art shine on OurStage.
Who I'd like to meet:
Everyone on OurStage.
About my work:
I used to play a lot around Boston with different bands and in 2000 I recorded my first solo CD titled ALIEN LOVE SONGS. It took me 7 years to make another. HOME SWEET HOME was produced by Don DiLego and recorded at Velvet Elk Studios (in the heart of Velvet Elk City, Poconos PA).
My influences range from classic singer/songwriters: Neil Young, John Lennon, & Bob Dylan to more modern Alt. Country favorites like Ryan Adams and Wilco. I play blues harmonica and listen to a lot of indie music. Lately I've been getting into spoken word and alternative hip-hop.
Friday's we have an OurStage all-employee coffee house which helps to keep my live performance chops sharp. In addition to writing and recording music I also write thriller novels. My short story, DISFIGURED appeared in the James Patterson anthology THRILLER: STORIES TO KEEP YOU UP AT NIGHT. When I get a free moment I'm working on my debut novel currently titled THE DIVIDED. Keep lookout for it.

New blog feature: Daniel Palmer's Weekly Mail Bag
Today I’m introducing a new blog feature, one that I hope (and suspect) many of you will like. I’m calling it my WEEKLY MAIL BAG. The Weekly Mail Bag features my responses to messages sent from OurStage members (names concealed to protect privacy). Each week, I’ll pick from the litter, ones that I think are most relevant to you. I may even post some of the more outlandish emails we get, just for the shock value. So without further ado, here is:
Daniel Palmer’s Weekly Mail Bag for Thursday, October 16, 2008
