Dakrya

Dakrya is a Greek word written in Latin characters and means "tears". The band started out in late 2004 by SophiaX. Since that time the lineup changed several times. Dakrya is a Greek word written in Latin characters and means "tears". The band started out in late 2004 by SophiaX. Since that time the lineup changed several times. The first demo came out in mid 2005 and another one followed the next year. The first live performances within 2006 brought the band into serious songwriting in order to record a full length album. In 2007 Dakrya enters the studios to record their debut album. After a year full of hard work, many unexpected delays and members’ departures, the album was finally completed. The year 2008 finds Dakrya with licensing deals in 2 indie record labels, Another Sphere Records and 279 Productions. The debut album of the band entitled "Monumento" was released by both labels on May 23rd 2008. The reviews from the press and media worldwide were very encouraging and Dakrya hit the stages in order to promote their work.
