At the age of three she experienced her first solo, leading "Thats Why My Heart Is Filled With Praise" along with her cousin Sheana Green for the children's choir of St. Paul's AME in Spring Valley, New York. Daja's mother (Alpha) was an aspiring gospel artist who traveled often and performed at historic venues such as The Cotton Club. Alpha made it her own business that music played a huge role in all five of her children's lives. She started a group similar to The Jackson Five called D5000. Daja's sister Dana was the lead vocalist with her older brother Davonio (Broad Riva KO) as the lead rapper. Although the group never did make it "big time" Alpha continued to motivate her children to invest a great deal of their time in music, and some did more than others. Daja did not have to devote her time to music due to Alpha devoting it for her. Every pageant, talent show , and family gathering Daja was forced to exploit her talent. Soon enough, Daja developed her own love and passion for music along with acting. At ten years old Daja wrote and arranged her first song. By the age of eleven, Daja's older brother Donovan (www.myspace.com/sweetpz) introduced her to another level of music, recording. By the age of fifteen Donovan had given her a new name, Daja Diamond. From age ten to now Daja Diamond has written, arranged, and recorded numerous songs. With every riff, harmony, and eclectic concept Daja Diamond continuously grabs a hold of listeners' ears, the philosopher's mind, and the solicitor's heart. She deliberately proves that there can be "transition with no contradiction". Now with a extensive fan base and her family and friends still behind her, Daja Diamond aspires to show the world what a staggering writer, vocalist, and performer she is.
