Well, I just missed out from the top 10 in World, but came close at #11! “Freedom” has gotten many wonderful comments and I want to thank all of you who have commented/supported this flute piece. Hi all

Well the results for the Native American Music Award nominees are in and I am out. “In The Spirit Of Peace” was submitted in the Native Heart catg. by Spirit Wind Records/Donald Blackfox. I am an unsigned artist with them. I want to thank Donald Blackfox for submitting my CD. The competition is tuff as you can imagine! It is like a Grammy. I really didn’t expect a nomination, but was very honored by the fact that my CD was submitted. For me, that was a win in itself! In terms of the Just Plain Folks actual nomination of my song “Enter The Circle” from CD of same title, well, I didn’t win. However, it was nominated, and again, this was an honor and I want to, again, thank Just Plain Folks for making that part happen for me. My journey with my flute music has been just a hoot!! I never expected it to get this far. I only started playing the flute for my own sense of peace. It has done exactly that and more for me and for my listeners. I am looking forward to the next chapter in this journey. Today I just finished recording my new all vocal CD and I am pleased with how it is coming along. Stay tuned for this one!! Hi All

First of all I am so pleases to have made it to the top 10 in the folk channel with “I Thought I Knew You” Thanks to all of you for the support. Second: I am still waiting to hear from the Native American Music Awards advisory board on the submission, by Spirit Wind Records, of my latest CD “In The Spirit Of Peace” in the Native Heart catg. I should know something within the next 2 weeks. The fact that it was felt worthy of a submission is for me an honor in itself. Thank you Donald Blackfox/Spirit Wind Records. Third: “Enter The Circle” did get nominated for best song by Just Plain Folks and I should know about the winning songs end of August. I am honored by this nomination. Thank you Just Plain Folks. Hi everyone, I just got news that my song “Enter The Circle” was nominated by Just Plain Folks for single song. It is from my CD of the same title. I have also entered it into the July competition on Ourstage for instrumental and didn’t know about the nomination from JPF until tonight. I am so honored and pleased! 560K songs were judged over the course of 14 months and mine go a nomination!!! WOW!! I never thought I would get this far with my music. What a journey this is!! I know this kind of music is very different from the usual on Ourstage and so I hope you do listen and I hope you enjoy it. Peace Dail

Well my 25th ride of 180 miles across the state of Maine is done. We had 5 inches of rain pour down on us the first day!! Oh yes! what fun it all was!! 65 miles of it. The Maine Lung Association had about 2600 riders this year and we raised over 1 million dollars!! I have asthma and so this is a special project of mine. I have logged 4,500 miles for this cause and I will keep on riding until I am called home. In terms of my music I am continuing to perform with either my flutes or my guitar. Enjoying listening to all the greaat music here on ourstage too! Now, if only the rain and wind would stop, I might get to my flower gardens! Peace Dail
